We (Jim & Minaz) planned a trip to Thailand for a month in November 2006. Jim spent a year researching & learning the Thai language. His language skills opened friendships to Thai people & further adventures guided by our new Thai friends, Siriwan, Supra, etc. Check out our links page for your references.

We where to travel different cities experiencing every form of transportation to reach our destinations arriving in Thailand during a political coup d' etat. We where some of the first passengers to land in the gorgeous new airport in Bangkok boasting the most elegant in Asia.

Here we enjoyed our new friends who ate, laughed, and shared travel stories with us. Some of our connections included the exotic Princess of Thailand and fortunate to sit beside some Buddhists tigers. Next our trip to an ancient place where buddhism first came to Thailand, we where welcomed guests in Thai homes by Thai teachers. Thanks to them for taking us on some side trips to places that no tourists except locals would get to experience. Everywhere the Thai people where friendly and helpful.

This page is dedicated in fond memories of Boyd 'Butch' Bartusch who died Wednesday July 16 2008. He was a gentleman larger than life character that we had the chance to meet, chat, eat, drink, and party with Butch, his family and employees welcoming us to their restaurant, motel, etc. in Khanom, Thailand called 'One More Beer' www.1morebeer.net . which makes the best burger in all of Thailand.
